On May 21, Xinjiang New Energy Company’s 500MW PV Desertification Control and Industrial Park Low-carbon Transformation Project in Hotan City realized full capacity grid connection and started power generation. This milestone marks the commissioning of a landmark demonstration project that integrates clean energy development, desert ecosystem restoration, and industrial low-carbon transformation. After the project is completed, the annual power generation will be about 747 million kWh, saving 332,500 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 876,000 tons per year.
