On March 11, the Tianshan Northern Foothill New Energy Base Project of the Xinjiang Branch of Chongqing Energy Investment Group reached a key engineering milestone as the first batch of wind power equipment was successfully delivered. The project has a total installed capacity of 4.1 million kilowatts, including 2.8 million kilowatts of wind power and 319 wind turbines. The wind farm is designed to generate 8.6464 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. Once completed and put into operation, it is expected to save 2.611 million tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 6.842 million tons per year.
