On February 17, a tanker carrying 15,000 kg of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant (also known as 84 disinfectant) left CR Power Haifeng Power Plant for Ruiqi Science and Technology Industrial Park in Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone. This batch of disinfectant would be used for centralized disinfection in the park.
Recently, with the resumption of work and production in various industries after the Spring Festival, the number of people returning to Guangdong has increased substantially. Considering the current shortage of disinfectant in many places in Shenzhen and Shantou, CR Power Haifeng Power Plant has pitched in and prepared sodium hypochlorite disinfectant by reforming two sets of electrolytic seawater chlorine-making devices. Currently nearly 1,000 tons of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant can be produced every day and directly used for epidemic prevention and environmental disinfection. CR Haifeng Power Plant has actively contacted the local government and the epidemic prevention and control department, saying that it can provide sodium hypochlorite disinfectant to the society free of charge according to the actual needs of epidemic prevention work. At the same time, the company has publicly released the news of providing disinfectant free of charge to all walks of life through various channels such as WeChat number. As of February 18, Haifeng Power Plant had supplied 71.5 tons of disinfectant to nearly 50 units, covering government departments, educational institutions, construction enterprises, etc., effectively ensuring the local epidemics prevention and control of and the resumption of work and production, which has earned high recognition from all walks of life.
In Wenzhou, Zhejiang, one of the hardest-hit cities outside of Hubei, the situation of epidemic prevention and control is extremely severe. CR Power Wenzhou Power Plant has pitched in and transformed the outlet pipeline of sodium hypochlorite solution in the plant, made use of the rich production capacity of the in-plant electrolytic seawater chlorine-making device, and prepared sodium hypochlorite disinfectant in support of the anti-epidemic work. Since February, the power plant has donated 110 tons of self-made sodium hypochlorite disinfectant to the society, effectively relieving the urgent needs of the local anti-epidemic work.
On the coasts of Tangshan and Bohai in Hebei Province, CR Caofeidian Power Plant with a production capacity of up to 6,000 tons of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant per day, is also making efforts to contribute to the local anti-epidemic work, Up to now, the power plant has provided 15.4 tons of disinfectant free of charge to Tianjin Baodi District Government, Caofeidian District Government and 12 neighboring enterprises and institutions, along with self-made instructions for safe use of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant to ensure the best effect.
At the same time, CR Power's inland power plants have also tried every means to help prevent and control the epidemic in their areas on the basis of doing a good job of epidemic prevention and control within the plant area. In Fuyang, Anhui, CR Fuyang Power Plant prepared 2.445 tons of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant and donated 1.3 tons to the local government. In Hezhou, Guangxi, CR Hezhou Power Plant prepared 18.6 tons of sodium hypochlorite disinfectant with industrial stock solution, which was supplied free of charge to 32 administrative institutions, 20 enterprises and related units in Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Hezhou, Guangxi.
As of February 18, CR Power’s enterprises have donated nearly 220 tons of self-made disinfectant worth more than RMB 1.1 million to the society. At the most critical stage when the whole country is sticking together to fight against the epidemic, CR Power will continue to donate sodium hypochlorite disinfectant to the society to help prevent and control the epidemic and pave the way for enterprises to resume work and production while working hard to ensure safe production and supply of electricity and heat.
